One of Aaron’s childhood friends and his family live in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and it was on our route to Yellowstone, so we decided to visit and were overjoyed when they invited us to moochdock in their driveway! They have 3 kids, so Casen and Calista loved having friends to play with. Coeur d’Alene is a beautiful town surrounded by bodies of water. We all rode our bikes to the downtown market night one night, which was a great way to see a lot of the downtown area.

We went fishing one morning, and it was Calista’s first time! Casen, Calista and their oldest son all caught fish so that was really exciting! Check out the pics

There is a BMX pump track in town that was the highlight of the trip in the kids eyes! We went twice to ride for fun, and the second time we were there, they were setting up for a race that evening. The boys decided they wanted to enter! We returned that evening for the race and were really proud of Kellen and Casen. They didn’t win, but had a great experience being in the race. It was sooo good to reunite with old friends and check out a new town. It’s safe to say that Coeur d’Alene has been added our list of “favorite small-midsize cities” and joins Bend, Sedona and Santa Barbara! We will be back!

We have loved spending time with our friends who live in Coeur d’Alene, ID. If you ever get the chance to come here you should! It’s a beautiful little town with tons of water everywhere, mountains, great parks, restaurants and lots to do. + + Today we went fishing and 3 fish were caught! It was Calista’s first time. She’s been asking to go for a while and we were so excited that our friends had poles we could use. + + Our friend, 5 year old Kellen, caught the first fish. He was super excited! The other kids kept trying and just as soon as we were about to give up and call it a day, both Casen and Calista caught one within minutes of each other! + + They were sooo happy! They loved the experience and so did we! I used to fish but it’s been a WHILE! It felt so good to be outside on the fresh air with friends enjoying the beautiful day and fulfilling one of Calista’s bucket list items! + + Do you have any activities on your bucket list??

We’re loving our time in Coeur d’Alene, ID with our friends! We’re moochdocking this week with one of Aaron’s childhood friends and his family. + + Coeur d’Alene is a beautiful city! Last night we biked to downtown and walked around at the Farmers Market. The ride along the water was sooo pretty. + + Today the kids had a blast riding at the pump track. My kids had never done anything like that before and even though Calista was very hesitant at first, she ended up having a blast. + + We all enjoy biking a lot and we have loved having our bikes on this journey with us. It seems that most full-time families enjoy biking and carry their bikes along with them. + + We’ve always enjoyed bike rides together, but because of our busy schedules back home, we were doing it less and less. One thing I love about living full time on the road and having a less busy schedule is that we have come back to our love of biking, hiking, and a lot of hobbies we used to enjoy but had become “too busy” to do back home. + + What is something you used to love doing that you haven’t done in a while?
