Destin West RV Resort

The Destin, Florida area has always been one of our favorite beach destinations for vacations.

We spent the winter in Florida, and couldn’t leave without visiting our favorite area. We spent a week at Destin West RV Resort and absolutely loved it. 

Destin West RV Resort is a high end resort in a great location with numerous amenities. It’s right on the water and right across the street from the beach. We got a spot right next to the pool, with water views. It is landscaped in a way that provides optimal privacy in between spaces, and creates nice views out of all windows. 

The pool is right on the water and there is an expansive deck that extends beyond the pool and features high top tables facing the water so you can bring your coffee out in the morning for peaceful views. 

One of our Favorite Things About Destin West RV Resort

One of our favorite things about staying here is that you also get access to all of the amenities across the street at The Island, which is an incredibly upscale beachfront resort with the same owner. There are multiple pools and one even has a grotto that has a bar inside of it! Misty the Mermaid makes occasional appearances and there is a regular DJ as well. 

Food and drinks are available in multiple bars and restaurants at the resort, and the decor is modern and inviting. Our favorite bar was the one right on the beach! Incredible views and live music made for a perfect date night.

Even if you don’t do anything else in the area, just spending time at the RV Resort and at The Island is an experience in itself!
